KAREN BIRCH

Karen’s qualifications include Personal Trainer, a classical mat Pilates and Barre Instructor and a pre and post-natal exercise specialist. Karen is currently pursuing ongoing studies in Women’s Health and hopes to complete a reformer Pilates qualification by the end of the year.

In terms of Karen’s sporting background, Karen describes herself as the definition of a ball magnet. Karen also spent ten years doing Ballet, which likely sparked her love for Pilates and movement. Karen also has a passion for strength training to build stronger bones for life and enjoys endurance running, mainly for the coffee afterwards!

Karen’s motivation to become a Personal Trainer came from the desire to help people enjoy exercise and movement without seeing it as a chore or a form of punishment. Having experienced the restrictive aspects of exercise and fad diets herself, Karen wanted to offer a more calm and gentle approach to exercise and nutrition for long-term better health and happiness.

Karen’s favourite activities include baking something chocolatey every week, attending a weekly reformer class, watching trashy Netflix shows, and balancing them out with reading. She loves full-body strength sessions combined with Pilates for mindful resistance training. Additionally, Karen enjoys petting and hugging every dog she passes on the street.
