How much does a gym membership cost in Dublin?
Gym FAQs › Gym costs and membership
A gym membership in Dublin usually costs between €20 and €150 a month. Budget 24-hour gyms sit at the lower end, full-service clubs with pools and saunas cost more, and coached studios where every session is led by a trainer tend to charge per class pack instead of a flat monthly fee.
What drives the price
The biggest factor is how much coaching you get. A budget gym gives you access to equipment and little else, so the price is low. As soon as a qualified coach is programming and supervising your sessions, you are paying for their time and expertise, which is why coached studios cost more per visit but usually deliver faster, safer results.
- Budget and 24-hour gyms: roughly €20 to €40 a month, equipment access only
- Mid-range and full-service clubs: roughly €50 to €90 a month, often with a pool, sauna or classes
- Coached studios and small gyms: priced per class pack or session, with a trainer at every session
Watch for joining fees, minimum contract terms and cancellation notice periods, as these can add a lot to the real cost.
